Sshrishti Trust is seeking a target-oriented fundraiser to join our tight-knit team. In this role, you will use your expert communication skills and initiative to scope fundraising opportunities, develop relationships with potential donors, and manage fundraising campaigns. By coordinating events, writing proposals, and recruiting suitable volunteers, you will lead the fundraising efforts of the organisation. The ideal candidate must be motivated, professional, and organized. We are looking for someone who believes in Sshrishti Trust’s mission and will demonstrate exceptional drive to further our existing fundraising efforts and meet the fundraising goals.
Objective of this role
• Promote awareness of the organization’s mission and work
• Cultivate a network of dedicated donors and volunteers
• Scope new fundraising opportunities
• Plan fundraising initiatives to help the organization meet financial goals
• Form strong relationships with external stakeholders
• Ensure existing donors are satisfied and can increase their giving or help with referrals.
Job Responsibilities
• Raise funds for our cause and r meet or surpass fundraising targets
• Research potential donors to gain insight into their needs, beliefs and donation habits to understand how to position our organization to them
• Assist in brainstorming with other team members, strategise and execute successful campaigns to raise funds.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and prioritize departmental activities to meet organizational goals
• Leverage technology and social media where possible to improve fundraising activities
• Assist in planning and coordinating events meant to raise funds and coordinate activities of volunteers and interns related to event planning and execution
• Create marketing materials, like flyers and brochures, to be used for the promotion of events and other fundraising pushes
• Analyze the performance of events and other fundraising activities for effectiveness and to identify areas where money can be saved
• Maintain complete and orderly records of donors and manage regular donor communications
• Build upon existing donor relationships and form new donor relationships on a regular basis
• Collaborate with other organizations and groups within the civil society to build partnerships and enhance fundraising activities
• Craft grant applications and fundraising proposals
• Research individuals, corporations, and foundations that may be interested in gift-giving
• Effectively convey the organization’s mission, vision, and programs to potential donors
Skill and Qualifications:
• A minimum of five years’ experience in fundraising with a proven track record of meeting targets.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to lead and motivate colleagues and volunteers
• Ability to ideate on effective communications to reach out to the donor base and keep them engaged.
• Must have an established network of potential donors
• Adept at managing tasks, planning events, and balancing priorities
• Ability to formulate the budget for a proposal.
• Public speaking
• Ability to guide the communication team on preparing the newsletters and Annual Reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in communications, business, public relations, or a related field
• Certificate in Fundraising, Diploma in Fundraising, or similar qualification
• Competence in Microsoft Office suite and donor management systems
• Experience writing grant proposals, press releases, and/or fundraising letters
Remuneration: Salary will commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
Approximate package: 7 to 10 lakhs per annum.
