We are Hiring a MIS Officer (Gujarat) for our Not-for-Profit Client who are is a not-for-profit, exclusively committed to eradicating child undernutrition, through a three-pronged approach of raising awareness, implementing direction intervention projects in vulnerable geographies and conducting research to understand the underlying causes of malnutrition and has touched over 7 lakh lives in India the past five years. They are a member of a leading global network working in more than 45 countries and supporting around 20 million people. They drive change from the ground up, to make this world free from hunger. About the role:
The MIS officer will be responsible for data management and periodically providing updated data tables with a basic analysis of data collected through MLE system and periodically providing updated data tables from the data generated through the government HMIS system. S/He will provide support in real time data analysis, monitoring of performance of districts, update and maintain database related to Nutrition. S/He will coordinate and work closely with H&FW and ICDS departments for timely data management.
Primary Responsibilities:
Under the supervisions of MEAL Lead, Technical Lead and Program Director, the MIS officer will be closely working with to accomplish the following responsibilities:
· Support Meal Lead, Technical Lead and Program Director in data collection, collation, compilation, analysis, generating data intelligence and preparation of reports
· Monthly HMIS data analysis and preparation of updates for data driven decisions and evaluation of the nutrition program. Prepare need-based analytics from multiple data sources i.e. HMIS, SRS, AHS, NFHS, etc for data driven discussions and management of program
· Support data generation, analysis, and presentation plan. Coordinate with H&FW and WCD department in HMIS data analysis and preparation of various power point presentations, reports for effective program implementation
· Analysis of data to produce frequencies of different indicators, descriptive, crosstabs, simple correlations etc.
· Support in preparation of various Dashboards, Composite Metrics and ppt presentations, etc
· Seamless integration of digital and information technology throughout service design
· Data Preparation: data mapping, removing duplicate entries, removing extraneous responses, coding of open-ended responses etc. for quality data generation
· Quality assurance and feedback, corrective actions
· Manage large volumes of quantitative data (familiarity with qualitative data will be an added advantage) and conduct simple and complex analyses
· Maintain a repository of program information and data, their quick summaries, action points and dashboards
· Coordinate with H&FW and WCD department for timely data management
· To perform other ad-hoc tasks as per the need of different stakeholders such as the Government and the donor
· To provide support in preparation and conducting testing of newly formulated tools
· Capacity building and trainings of the MEAL team members
· Carry out and support activities as and when directed by supervisor
Education and Experience
· Bachelor/master’s degree in Statistics or any other relevant stream.
· Should have 3+ years of professional experience in data management and data analysis.
· Proficiency in dealing with large excel or equivalent datasets for collating, merging, cleaning, managing, and conducting basic analysis.
· Proficiency in any statistical package like SPSS/STATA/SAS/R/Tally.
· Proven ability to efficiently manage large volumes of data and conducting simple analyses (familiarity with qualitative data will be an added advantage).
· Demonstrated learning agility, pro-activeness, and openness to embrace new technologies at work.
· Basic understanding on Maternal and Child Health (MCH) issues and fundamentals of public health.
Compensation: Between 5,50,000 to 7,00,000 INR CTC per annum, the final pay will be decided based on experience and expertise.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in Spoken Gujarati, and In English are required for the role.
Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 40% of the time within district and to state as and when required
