About the Department 

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency of the Government of India, under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The agency serves as the first point of contact for investors exploring India as a business destination. Invest India is responsible for numerous key government initiatives including Startup India, AGNIi, One District One Product, Project Monitoring Group, and Waste to Wealth among others.

About Start up India

Startup India is a flagship initiative of the Government of India intended to catalyze startup culture and build a strong and inclusive ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship in India. Since the launch of the initiative on 16th January 2016, Startup India has rolled out several programs with the objective of supporting entrepreneurs and transforming India into a country of job creators instead of job seekers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and socialize dashboards, pre-defined and custom defined reports for Central and State departments to enable planning, monitoring, and management of projects
2. Innovate new approaches for generating insights that can enable policy making.
3. Create periodic and automated analytics internally and for ministries to monitor the progress and streamline operations.
4. Support to Product team in assessment of current features and leading end to end development of new features with technology partner.
5. Stakeholder management with officials, partners & startups ecosystem stakeholders.

• Maintain and analyse data of Startups in the country.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Post-Graduate Degree from a premier institute in India or overseas.
• 1-3 years of full-time work experience in management consulting, policy research, data driven firm(s) or a fast-paced, output-oriented environment. Candidates with prior experience of working with Government of India or Indian State Government(s) or datasets of the Government organisation(s) may be preferred.
• Exceptional analytical (qualitative and quantitative) skills with high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Visualization tools (PowerBI/ Tableau/ Plotly).
• A working knowledge of Python with its application in QGIS/ ArcGIS will be advantageous.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and stakeholder management capabilities. Demonstrated ability to build strong professional relationships with a range of stakeholders in a challenging, multi-cultural environment.
• Ability to work in teams and independently take responsibility of delivering key results.
