About this Role
Program Associate supports the Program Head in planning, implementation, documentation, reporting, quality, and management of the overall skilling operations of Apparel Skilling program. At all times he/she has to ensure that Skilling operations are aligned with overall center planning and operations.
This position will hold responsibility for the overall program at project level. Detailed responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following broad areas:
- Plan and strategize for creating and strengthening the expansion network for the Apparel Skilling program.
- Frequently travel required across PAN India.
- Maintain the quality of the training center.
- Introduce the new course or new innovation in the program.
- Monitoring and evaluation of centers.
- Coordinate with various center managers for ensuring quality of training and placement of students through in-campus and off-campus drives.
- Developing, monitoring, and updating content for both technical and non-technical processes.
- Locate or identify potential partnerships in the region by contacting potential partners (both Corporate and Government), discovering, and exploring opportunities locally.
- Build and maintain regular connections with center heads, trainers, placement coordinators and mobilizers.
- Maintain a database and ensure timely reporting of the same.
- Monitor in-campus interviews along with pre and post-placement phases.
- Interact with students and center managers on an ongoing basis to understand student requirements and plug gaps where required.
- Capture feedback from students and recruiters on an ongoing basis.
- Follow the organization’s ‘Code of conduct’ and promote ‘Gender Sensitivity’ and ‘Gender Equality’.
Skills Required
- Should have outstanding problem-solving skills i.e. identify problems and solve them as easily as possible at low cost.
- Technical Knowledge (Practical & Theory): Must have a strong technical background and experience in a technical role, with specialized knowledge of specific industries.
- Management Skills: Must possess good Management and delegation skills which include trainee counseling & mentoring. Along with the ability to handle multiple roles and activities at a given time.
- Must have good Communication & Interpersonal Skills in the regional local language and English.
- Must have a proactive, innovative, and positive mindset.
- Digital skills: Understanding the workings and usage of:
- Social media platforms like WhatsApp, Workplace, etc.
- Digital meeting platforms like Zoom, Google meet.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Google applications (Google Drive, Google Calendar, etc.)
- Understanding of different applications (apps), portals, dashboards, etc.
- Data Analysis: Have a good understanding of data, dashboards, etc. to plan strategies.
Reporting to
This position is required to report to the Program Head, Apparel Program.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Qualification: ITI/AMT/Diploma/Graduation from NIFT, NID, NIFD, ATDC etc. or any other polytechnic/reputed institute in the field of apparel making and design, fashion design, fashion technology or allied fields.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of practical experience in apparel making, product designing, and minimum 2 years of experience in Apparel industry.
Desirable:
- Candidates with experience in designing training programs/ workshops and skilling operations shall be given preference.
- Age Criteria: 23-45 years.

- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing environment
- Ability to listen patiently and being non-judgmental
- Building trust-based relationships with the staff
- Ability to build rapport with people and work well with diverse teams
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Good training skills
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to organize, prioritize and work independently
- Experience in similar position/role will be an added advantage
Pratham teams work in rural areas therefore willingness to travel with the state and to other Pratham offices for this position is essential.
Remuneration/Salary
Monthly CTC – Rs. 25,000 – Rs. 30,000 (negotiable as per experience)
