Consultant – Water & Green Transition

Position: Short-term Consultant
Duration: Around 6 Months
Education Requirements: Master’s degree with demonstrated interest/ experience in environment

Purpose:

CAF India is looking to build a new vertical addressing issues related to water, agriculture, green transition, climate change. In order to do this, CAF India is building strategic alliances and partnerships and well positioned to play the role of program manager and skill partner.

This will build on CAF India’s acumen on program management, resource mobilization, grant management, donor networking and communications coupled with CAF India’s multi stake holder partnerships.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• The incumbent would work with the strategic partnerships and resource mobilization team in order to:
o Outreach & meeting to potential donors including corporates, institutions, individuals etc.
o Organizing donor round tables across multiple geographies.
o Working jointly with partners in relevant alliances.
o Developing bespoke content, concept notes, proposals for donors.

• The incumbent would work with the alliance based program teams in order to:
o Developing a program planning & review systems.
o Developing a robust monitoring mechanism including monitoring, evaluation & reporting o Developing a comprehensive repository mechanism for tracking beneficiary details
o Programme progress reporting formats for the donors

• The incumbent would work with the alliance communication teams in order to:
o Designing communication collaterals such as emailer, flyers, blogs, movies for newsletter to be shared in CAF networks, corporates, HNI donors, etc.

Skills and Competencies:

• Understanding of Water, Agriculture and Environment related projects from a development perspective.
• Proposal writing skills especially past record of writing and submitting proposals on environment projects.
• Negotiation skills on budgets to allocate adequate budget for a project.
• Presentation and organisation skills as the consultant is required to organise roundtables, stakeholder consultations etc.
• Ability to communicate with the community, village leaders, Govt. officials and collect requisite information towards developing the project.
