OD Consultant, Organisation Development Team

 

At Simple Education Foundation (SEF) we work with the government to build state-wide strengthening programs for teachers and principals to increase the standard of teaching in government schools across India. Our mission is to strengthen 1 million educators by 2028. 

 

We are a highly driven team with over 50 years of cumulative experience in teaching in classrooms and working with government school systems. Our team is young, dynamic, bold and audacious enough to make this mission come true in our lifetime. To help us accelerate our impact, we are looking to onboard more members on our paper plane!

 

About the role

 

As an Org dev consultant, your primary role will be to support org dev functions of People and Culture, Communications and Fundraising to streamline operations and processes in our effort to build Simple Education Foundation as an enduring organisation, ensuring excellent delivery of programs.

How can you succeed in this role?

 
  • By streamlining People Operations by optimising crucial functions like recruitment, probation management, and employee compliance within the organisation to build and nurture a talented and dedicated team that aligns with the organisation's mission. 

  • By Support Organizational Development functions such as fundraising and communication to generate leads and maintain databases, conduct research to identify suitable partners, and foster relationships with leads and PR partners to enhance the overall effort to secure partnerships for growth. 

  • By Co-create org dev collaterals like newsletters and social media posts to enhance SEF's internal and external communications

 
 
 

Requirements

Skills Required

  • Written Communication

    • Use online management and communication tools like calendars, docs, ppts (Google suite) to plan their communication

    • Respond to emails, proposals aligned with the organisation's philosophy with minimal assistance.

  • Data Analysis & Research

    • Engage with ease with secondary research to draw potential partnerships 

    • Use Excel and Google Suite to visualize and collect data as per  the strategy

  • Time  Management

  • Ability to balance their time between different functions according to program priorities 

  • Manage time with responsibilities & create weekly plan around priorities shared with them. Demonstrates commitment and consistency by following through on tasks and responsibilities.

  • Stays positive and calm during challenging times.

  • Collaboration

    • Sets intentions with clear alignment and engages with stakeholders to co-create the next steps in any intervention or participate in ongoing operational tasks.

Knowledge

  • Awareness of the larger Indian ed-ecosystem and digital media trends/patterns 

  • Have basic knowledge of conducting secondary research and using G Suite 

  • Prior knowledge and experience in working with teachers

  • Demonstrated experience in liaising and co-operating with government officials, academic institutions and NGOs at a state level 

Experience 

  • 0-3 years of experience in a similar role will be preferred but not mandatory!

 

Salary and benefits

 

Compensation will be between Rs  30,000 - Rs 45,000  based on the experience of the candidate and will include the following perks:
