CAF India has designed a program on Menstrual Health and Hygiene Management named RASM (Right to Access Sustainable Menstruation). Through RASM CAF India aims to increase the adoption of sustainable menstruation practices and products leading to enhanced menstrual health and empower menstruators to progress in all walks of their lives.

In line with the requirements of CAF India, we are looking for qualified individuals to serve as program coordinators for the RASM program.

Job Overview:

The job responsibilities of Program Coordinators vary to some degree as well as the different environments where your duties are performed. However, there are some general administrative and program management tasks that lay at the core, regardless. These include the entire documentation of the program and provide extensive support on overall documentation of reports, lessons learned, success stories, case studies, and events (meetings/workshops). He/ She is required to spend 25 percent time in the field as well. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in the menstrual health and hygiene program.

A program coordinator for menstrual health and hygiene plays a crucial role, their responsibilities encompass a wide range of activities aimed at promoting menstrual health, breaking down stigmas, and improving access to menstrual products and education. Below is a comprehensive

 

Job Description:

1. Conduct assessments to understand the specific menstrual health needs and challenges of the target population.

2. Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in menstrual health and hygiene.

3. Has experience regarding training and workshops on menstrual health and hygiene to communities, schools, healthcare providers, and organizations.

4. Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact of menstrual health programs.

5. Regularly collect data and analyze results

6. Collaborate with local and international organizations, government agencies, and NGOs to leverage resources and expertise.

7. Attend conferences and workshops to stay connected with the menstrual health community.

8. Develop and manage budgets for menstrual health programs and initiatives.

9. Prepare reports, case studies, and documentation to share project outcomes and impact. - Maintain accurate records of program activities and expenses.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in public health, gender studies, social work, or a related field.

• Proven experience of 3-5 yrs. in menstrual health and hygiene programming.

• Strong understanding of cultural sensitivities and social dynamics related to menstruation.

• Excellent communication and advocacy skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in data collection and analysis.

• Sensitivity to gender and diversity issues.

Key Competencies:

• Empathy and sensitivity towards menstrual health issues.

• Project management and organizational skills.

• Cultural competence and adaptability.

• Strong public speaking and presentation skills.

• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

• Should be willing to travel to the project field site for up to 25 % of the time.

• Strong skills in reporting, writing project proposals, and program monitoring and evaluation.
