The Manager (Ignite-Shelters) is responsible for managing, coaching and developing the team of project volunteers to ensure efficient and smooth functioning of all learning centres and scale them in a sustainable way across the country. He/she will have to work closely with the volunteer leads, content and training, HR, Operations and other employees. Work in unison with Sr.Manager-Catalyse, board towards achieving program and organisational goals.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operation, track and follow up on project milestones and achieve programmatic goals in timely manner
  • Engage all stakeholders in shaping shared goals, strategies for the programme to maximize impact & reach
  • Build systems, processes, culture, and the team (employees and volunteers) to support the programme with a focus on continuous learning, improvement, and rapid growth
  • Provide support to the volunteers to envision the goals for their centers/cities/projects and the required guidance to meet the same
  • Lead, coach, nurture employees, volunteer coordinators/leaders into a high-performance team and promote a strong culture of volunteerism & org values.

 

Educational Qualification/Experience:

  • Minimum two years’ experience in managing a team
  • Teaching, volunteering experience is must
  • Excellence in project management with the ability to coach staff, manage and develop high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget
  • Any Graduate or Postgraduate preferred

Knowledge and skill sets required:

  • Ability to drive outcome-oriented plans through the team’s collective effort
  • Good influencing skills, people engagement, networking and listening skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Emotional maturity to empathise with the perspectives/needs of team members
  • Good computer knowledge and MS Office skills
  • Highly resourceful team-player who is self-driven
  • Forward-looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
