Clerk cum Accountant at District level

Project:
Special Programme for Promotion of Millets in Odisha (Odisha Millets Mission), and Special Programme for Promotion of Integrated Farming (SPPIF).

Reporting to:
Regional Coordinator, OMM/SPPIF and CDAO-cum PD ATMA

~
Period of Contract:
Contract will be for a period of 2 years after initial probation period of 6 months, can be extended subject to satisfactory performance and project period extension.

Job Description:
• Coordinate and orient NGO and FPO team on the financial compliances and norms.

• Coordinate and manage data for the project at district level.

• Support district OMM team in the data management (both program and finance).

• Manage accounts related work of project at district level of Odisha Millet Mission.

• Verify the MPRs of NGOs and FPOs involved in the project.

• Supports internal audit of NGO and FPOs under OMM and compliance sharing with stakeholders.

• Work in coordination with District Programme Coordinator/s under OMM and report to Regional Coordinator, OMM and CDAO-cum-PD ATMA

• Prepare Monthly Project Report/ Quarterly Project Report/ Annual Project Reports and any other financial reports desired for the programme.

Desired Candidate Profile:
• Be very energetic and must be willing to work extra hours and on holidays.

• Excellent communication skills in Odiya and English

• Efficient working on team

• Have knowledge of Tally 9.0 and other accounting software.

• Have experience of handling audits of projects, preparing balance sheets, so on so forth.

• Have experience in data management for the project.

• Have good report writing skills in English and Odia.

• Have good computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PPT, Google Spreadsheet etc.

• Not have any complaints against him by Government, Civil Society, Community organizations or Private agencies.

• Should be very motivated and be a team player. Should be willing to flexible with location and work timings.

• Should be willing to learn concepts and become skilled to meet the organizational needs.

Desired Qualification:
• Master’s in Commerce/ Finance/ MBA in Finance or equivalent degree and at least 2 years of experience in similar development programs.

• Bachelors in commerce/ Accounts/ Finance with 5 years of experience in similar programme.

Age limit:
25-45 year

~
Salary:
As per Market Standard. Deductions shall be applicable as per the organization’s norms and tax laws of the country.
