Position overview:

 

National Program Coordinator is one of the key positions of girl’s education and gender equality department, supervising and leading a team of senior/program officers. The person is responsible for providing program direction, annual plan delivery and team health. S/he will ensure that the department’s work is in alignment to the organizational priorities, growth plan and identified areas of investment.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

Team capacity strengthening and management:

  • Implement the wholistic capacity enhancement framework for all tiers of program professionals (from field level staff to state and to national level staff) along with a system of capacity assessment.

  • Work with the state focal points to get the framework implemented

  • Contribute to enhancing the framework in light of the feedback received from the field

  • Manage a team of senior/program officers and ensure yearly plan delivery

  • Ensure that the team health is in place via regular one on ones

  • Ensure regular team meetings for cross sharing and resolving issues of concern

  • Ensure that all team members are able to contribute effectively and also get fair opportunities to represent the organization.

 

Ensure program implementation and program quality:

  • Implementation in-charge of direct and custom projects in designated states,

  • Support in rolling out program at new sights data analysis and usage for strengthening the program.

  • Undertake quality check per SOPs & guidance notes

  • Undertake field visits to the program sight

  • Monitor and support to state teams in demonstration and accelerator program to deliver high quality program outcomes

  • Lead identification and roll out of technical assistance processes and projects,

  • Ensure re-alignment of resources, procurement compliance, inter-departmental collaboration

  • Conceptualize and develop content as advised

  • Create scalable solutions based on thematic areas of programing

  • Support state level networking and liaison,

  • Review and contribute to reports, terms of reference, scope of works, quarterly reports and documents including proposals,

  • Mentor state and national POs,

  • Assist states teams in aligning to the growth as well curate a state-specific vision

  • Strengthen work on National Education Policy

 

Operational efficiency and compliance:

  • Ensure benchmark compliance for administrative, operational, and financial management.

  • Reinforce RtR’s commitment to RESPECT model.

  • Contribute to enhancing organizational systems, processes, and policies.

  • Ensure that RtR is a learning and growing space.

 

Qualification:

 

Required:

  • Masters degree in the relevant field – Social sciences/ Development studies/Gender/Social Work

  • Minimum Ten (10) years of relevant experience.

  • Strong and proven records of planning, supervising, program development and program monitoring

  • Good knowledge and understanding of education issues, including life skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi

  • Proven track record of achieving results with High energy level with Superior interpersonal abilities with an Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, flexible.
