Description

SiV is an after-school program for students enrolled in vernacular medium government schools. The program focuses on grades 5th-8th (upper primary and secondary) to equip rural students with English communication skills, leadership, critical thinking and confidence building. The program runs in partnership with Deshpande Foundation (DF). The entire training and capacity building of teachers, cluster head is carried out by the DF team. The program is going to be implemented in the 5 schools Ambajogai and Parli Blocks of Beed in Maharashtra.

Job Description:
Cluster Trainer under the Skill in Village (SiV) Program at MANAVLOK, Ambajogai. (Full time position, travelling to field locations required)

Roles & Responsibilities:
Training
1. To participate in the training conducted by internal & external teams as required.
2. To collect training requirements and organize training for the SiV teachers as required.
3. To consult the Program Manager and lead to prepare an annual calendar for training.
4. To collect and manage resources (premises, equipment, materials, etc.) to conduct training
5. To develop innovative training modules and share the best practices with the team of cluster trainers.
6. Contribute to increase the training quality (proper planning, schedule, implementations, outcome measurement, monitoring, and feedback)

Content
1. Support to develop content as and when required.
2. Support in testing and maintaining the quality of content.
3. Enabling the teachers to prepare TLMs for lesson plans.
4. Collect best practices from external and internal sources, and share them with the academic team.
5. Research and practice innovative teaching methodologies.

Assessments
1. Design assessment tools for students and teachers.
2. Monitor the quality of student and teacher assessments.
3. Tracking the SiV centres and teacher’s performances and suggesting recommendations to improve the academics.
4. Prepare relevant reports summarising teacher and centre performances.

Improve the Quality of the Program
1. Ensure classroom activities are in line with program philosophy.
2. Minimum 40% visits in a month to be done to the respective centers. (Minimum 9 days per month travel to centers).
3. Being a collaborative team player who enables and motivates the teachers.
4. Report cluster updates monthly and quarterly to the respective leads (Templates shared by the academic team).

Eligibility Criteria:
1. 1 to 2 years’ experience in Educational Interventions.
2. Residing/ready to move to Ambajogai, Maharashtra.
3. Languages – Marathi and English- Fluency in writing & speaking.
4. Flexible to travel
5. Tech Savvy; ability to leverage the latest technology.
6. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
7. Ability to delegate tasks effectively & setting clear goals and expectations.
8. Ability to demonstrate empathy.
9. Skills set - Understanding of academic elements of an educational program, understanding of student centred classrooms, activity based learning, 21st century skills etc.
10. Additional skill-sets - Event handling, People/team management, Relationship development,
11. Ability to work in matrix structure and develop the team at the division.

Remuneration: INR 22,000 including TDS.
